Here's an old Album I never released digitally. It's about Chequessett Golf Course in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. In theory, I wrote a song about each hole, but I can't find Hole Seven. If anybody has a cd with hole 7, please do send it along. I went golfing there with my bff Chandler Travis
and also Pat O'Connell, and wrote this album of tunes when I got back to Oakland, California.
I'd been listening obsessively to a couple of tracks from Roches' album Moonswept at the time, so that's why it sounds like it does mostly.
One song mentions me being hit by a golf club in the face at age three. I got eleven stitches. Hole six is partly about my friend's dog chasing cute bunnies and getting fatally struck by a car. One song is about my Grandfather who took me golfing as a wee lass. Hole 8 was swampy and had mosquitoes, so I wrote about that. On one of the days we got the best space in the parking lot, so we were overjoyed. There's a bonus track about us saving some people who hadn't yet started drowning.
